Favorite Books of 2013 so far

by - 5/13/2013

For those of you who don't know, I am addicted to reading. There is just something amazing about holding a book in your hands, and reading it, flipping the pages, and the crisp pages. Now don't get me wrong, I hate textbooks, but I love fiction books. Because I can just get lost in books for hours if not days. I haven't been reading as much this year, because I've been busy with blogging, and work so I'm sorry that I don't have that many books. I know I've read more than this, but for some reason, these were the books that stood out to me the most.

Game of Thrones - So Game of Thones took me around 10 weeks to finish, but that book definitely packs a punch! I love how descriptive George R.R. Martin is with his books! I couldn't put it down, but I couldn't finish this book in one sitting. If you enjoy fantasy books, I would suggest you pick up this book! I like to try everything once before deciding if I like it. But this book was amazing! I already have the second book, but I'm going to take my time before reading Clash of Kings, because I still have several other books ahead of that book.

Daughter of Smoke & Bone - I really loved this book. And unlike Lauren Kate's series Fallen. (If you want to see how horrible that series is just look at reviews on goodreads.com) I normally don't read books about angels, and chimera or demons, because I don't believe in them. But from the first moment, I started reading, I couldn't put it down. And that's saying a lot about this book. For some reason Laini Taylor has a way to weave the story into your mind, and you feel like you're next to the main characters. I kind of want to see what a Chimera looks like with a human body.

P.S. Can you believe how annoyed I was when my brother told me that they moved Grimm to Tuesday night, and he didn't bother telling me until last week? And I kept thinking that it wasn't going to be on till the end of May.

What books do you suggest that I read (What are your favorite books at the moment)?

  9. I'm currently reading the third Game of Thrones novel!! I love the show, so I wanted to read the books too! Daughter of Smoke and Bone sounds interesting! I love Grimm! I heard that when the show comes back this fall it will be on Fridays again because it's going to be the lead in for the new show Dracula.

  10. Just started book 5 of the GoT series.. addictive!! There's a quaint little series by Cameron Jace on Kindle that is a bit convoluted and re-tells some of Grimm's fairytales from the character's point of views. They all mesh together in one big story and there are spelling and grammatical errors sprinkled throughout, but for some reason, I keep going back to it :\
