My Quick Makeup Routine

by - 1/08/2015

IMG_1377 So I do reviews on products, but I don't think I've ever done a what I put on my face routine. This is what I usually like to put on my face, if I'm in a serious grind for time. This is the fastest way for me to apply my makeup. And if I'm not applying any eye makeup, which for those of who who don't know, I rarely put on eyeshadow. I usually just apply a little bit of eyeliner! This routine takes me about 10 minutes, and I'm out of the door! This is in order of what I apply to my face.

Moisturizer for my face - I usually put on the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion before putting on any kind of makeup. This lotion is good for anywhere where you might have dry patches on your skin. And I like how it says that it moisturizes for 24 hours. To be honest, I don't think it actually moisturizes for 24 hours but it keeps my face nice and soft for the time that my makeup goes on.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser - I've been using this for a little over a month, and while this isn't as good as my smashbox primer, it's a hell of a lot cheaper. I do have a tendency to get oily after a while, and this doesn't prevent oil from coming out, but if I do get oily, I usually pull out some Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets.

Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation in 220 - I recieved this from covergirl a couple of months ago, and I really love this foundation, because it doesn't break me out, and it doesn't clog my pores. I have the Revlon ColorStay Foundation For Combo/Oily Skin, and that one definitely clogs my pores.

Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Beauty Balm - I've been using this for the last couple of months, since the end of summer. Remember this post that I did for this bronzer? Well I have to say this one tops the NYC sunny bronzer. That one is too orange for me. And this is similar to my Chanel one, but this one has shimmer in it. By the way after applying it, you don't even notice the glitter as much anymore.

Stila Convertible Blush in Peony or Nar's Deep Throat - I like to apply a little bit of blush onto the apples of my cheeks. I love the Stila one because it's a little bit darker, but the Nars one is good for spring/summer. I got the Stila one as a sample, a while ago, and I hadn't used it until recently, and I love how pigmented it is.

Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous powder in 215 - I love this powder. I usually put on everything before applying this powder. That way my blush doesn't look so harsh, and my contour is softened.

Real Technique Brushes - These are the brushes that I use to apply my makeup with. Expert face brush for foundation, contour brush for bronzer, stippling brush for blush, and buffing brush for powder.
